Get Your Answers Quicker

In-house lab testing is an essential component of any comprehensive wellness program and is crucial in monitoring your overall health and detecting potential health problems early.

At Mid South Internal Medicine, we understand the importance of in-house lab testing and offer a range of tests that can be done conveniently and quickly at our Germantown office.

Complete Blood Count

One of the most common tests we offer is the complete blood count (CBC), which provides a detailed analysis of the various components of your blood. The CBC measures the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in the blood, as well as the hemoglobin and hematocrit levels.

This information can be used to identify various conditions, including anemia, infections, and leukemia, among others.

Cholesterol Panels

Cholesterol panels measure the levels of different types of cholesterol in the blood. High levels of LDL or "bad" cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease, while high levels of HDL or "good" cholesterol are associated with a lower risk of heart disease.

By monitoring cholesterol levels regularly, you can take steps to reduce the risk of heart disease and maintain your cardiovascular health.

Thyroid Panels

The thyroid gland plays a critical role in regulating the body's metabolism, and problems with the thyroid can lead to a range of symptoms, including fatigue, weight gain, and depression.

Our thyroid panel measures the levels of various hormones produced by the thyroid gland, including TSH, T4, and T3, and can help identify conditions such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.

Urinalysis

This is a simple test that can provide valuable information about your overall health. Urinalysis measures the various components of urine, including protein, glucose, and ketones.

Abnormal levels of these substances can indicate underlying health problems, such as kidney disease or diabetes.
